As the pandemic continues to intensify across Taiwan, the pressure on healthcare systems and frontline workers has been mounting, with hospitals facing increasing demands for testing and treatment. In support of the medical professionals fighting on the frontlines, MAG took concrete action by donating 5,000 face shields to Tung's Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital in Wuqi District, Taichung. The goal is to help enhance the protection of healthcare workers and stand in solidarity during this difficult time.
MAG noted that the surge in COVID-19 cases has led to a sharp rise in the demand for protective supplies, with market prices for face shields once exceeding NT$100 per unit. In response, the company developed its own high-performance and practical face shields, aiming to bridge the gap in medical supplies, reduce infection risks among healthcare staff, and inspire other companies to join in fulfilling their social responsibility through concrete contributions.
The self-developed face shield features a one-piece design that eliminates the need for sponge components, offering easy wearability. It also includes an adjustable fit suitable for both adults and children, and utilizes anti-fog and anti-glare materials to significantly improve comfort and usability. The product is available for collaboration with distributors and businesses, and is also offered through retail channels.
