Commercial Times: 彩色口罩致癌議題發燒,彩麗提檢驗證明,強調安全無虞
Following the outbreak of COVID-19, face masks have become an essential part of daily life. As fashion trends have influenced consumer preferences, colourful face masks have surged in popularity. However, recent reports suggesting that some colourful masks may contain azo dyes—which can release carcinogenic substances—have sparked public concern. In response, Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs announced a nationwide inspection and released the findings to reassure consumers.
To address these concerns, Magical Film Enterprise Co., Ltd. (MAG), a professional manufacturer of colourful spunbond nonwoven fabric, held a press conference led by General Manager Hsu Yu-Ting. She emphasized that MAG's colored nonwovens are made using polypropylene (PP) masterbatch and contain no azo dyes. The company presented comprehensive third-party test reports covering azo dye screening, formaldehyde content, SGS-certified heavy metal analysis, microbiological testing, and RoHS compliance, all proving the safety and non-toxicity of its products.
General Manager Hsu further stated that MAG has long specialized in the production of food-grade film products, which are exported globally. These materials must pass rigorous safety testing to meet international regulatory standards. In response to the rising demand for epidemic prevention materials, the company began producing colored spunbond nonwovens last year, using the same food-grade quality standards. This makes MAG a reliable upstream supplier for mask manufacturers seeking certified, high-quality materials. The company welcomes long-term partnerships across the face mask industry.
